Tell us a little about your current role and what you enjoy most about it.
What I enjoy most about my role is that no two days are the same. Teledyne is a dynamic company with operations around the world, and each day brings new opportunities to learn and new issues to navigate. I have the chance to work with team members globally and lead group projects with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I also enjoy learning about each country’s rules and regulations for the importation of goods.

How has your background informed your professional career?
My parents came to this country from Brazil (mother) and Colombia (father). I grew up in a household where my parents would start a sentence in English, then switch to Portuguese, and end in Spanish. Over the years, countless relatives from both countries came to live with us to learn English, giving me the opportunity to improve my Portuguese and Spanish skills. The ability to speak multiple languages helped me begin my career in International Trade/Customs Compliance and has been essential to my various roles in the International Trade Compliance field. ​
