Dr. Chanh N. Nguyen is Chief Technology Officer of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, reporting to the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer.

From 2018 to April 2023, Nguyen was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Teledyne Imaging Sensors (TIS), leading the development and manufacture of high-performance HgCdTe focal plane arrays for commercial and U.S. Department of Defense applications. From 2004 to 2018, Nguyen transitioned advanced semiconductor technologies into high-performance products and foundry services at Teledyne Scientific Company. He also worked to help setup Scientific's reinvestment program that enables technology transition and maturation to our operating companies.

Nguyen joined the predecessor to Teledyne Scientific & Imaging, LLC in 2004, before its acquisition by Teledyne in 2006. He has 30 years of R&D and management experience in the field of high-performance compound semiconductors. Nguyen received his PhD from University of Santa Barbara (UCSB) under Professor Herbert Kroemer (2000 Nobel Prize Winner in Semiconductor Heterostructures) in 1995. Subsequently, he joined Hughes Research Laboratories (HRL) where he managed their advanced semiconductor materials and devices group for six years.

Previously, Nguyen worked at Global Communications Semiconductor (a pure play compound semiconductor fab) as the Chief Technology Officer for four years from 2000 to 2004, and as acting Chief Operating Officer from 2003 to 2004.
