Tell us a little about your current role and what you enjoy most about it?
In my current role, I have the privilege of leading a team of process engineers and manufacturing support engineers. We are part of the cross functional team that leads the innovation and process improvements that allow Teledyne FLIR to excel at delivering quality products. I enjoy the daily collaborations, challenges, and opportunities to improve and innovate.
What are you most proud of in your life - career, accomplishments, etc.?
One of my greatest accomplishments is choosing an awesome life partner who respects and supports my career development and makes my current contributions possible. He took a remote work opportunity to provide the flexibility of caring for our daughter while allowing me to continue my career on site. This has allowed me to make an impact by doing what I love. It’s an amazing feeling to know that my biggest ally is my husband.
Who is someone that empowered you in your youth? How did they empower you?
Since early on my mom laid the framework for my success by instilling the importance of values and teaching me to live courageously. She has had to overcome many hardships in her life but refuses to let them dictate her and who she becomes. She taught me that I am valuable and powerful and deserving of every opportunity to pursue my dreams. She inspires me daily to continue developing myself and empowering those around me.
