Teledyne Imaging Receives Gold and Silver Awards from Vision Systems Design

4/12/2018

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – April 12, 2018 – Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today that Teledyne DALSA and Teledyne e2v were awarded Gold and Silver 2018 Innovator Awards from Vision Systems Design. This annual program celebrates innovative technologies, products and systems found in the machine vision and image processing market. Winners were selected by a panel of judges comprised of systems integrators, consultants and academics with years of experience in specifying, designing and configuring image processing and machine vision systems.

Teledyne DALSA won Gold-level honors for its Linea CMOS multi-channel line scan machine vision camera. Used in advanced machine vision and automated inspection systems, Teledyne DALSA's next generation CMOS sensor architecture and camera design allows users to control the start and stop time of each line exposure independently. Furthermore, the Linea camera enables new capabilities of capturing multi-field or multispectral images in a single scan, a growing requirement for designers of today's demanding machine vision applications.

Teledyne e2v received a Silver Award for its OctoPlus line scan cameras for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). OCT is a specialty imaging technique used in medical imaging, such as retinal inspection by ophthalmologists, as well as industrial markets. Teledyne e2v's OctoPlus cameras feature a unique sensor design offering tall-pixels (10 x 20μm or 10 x 200μm), low power consumption (<3W) and speeds up to 250KHz. The cameras come with a USB3 or CameraLink interface and are available in 64 configurations.

“We are thrilled to receive two separate awards recognizing our advanced machine vision capabilities," said Edwin Roks, Group President, Teledyne DALSA and Teledyne e2v Digital Imaging. “Teledyne has a reputation for delivering innovative technology across a broad range of products supporting multiple segments. These two awards inspire us as we continue to develop new, cost effective solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations."
