Mike Read Appointed President of Teledyne Marine

​THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – September 3, 2015 – Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today the promotion of Mike Read to the position of President of Teledyne Marine, effective September 7, 2015.


Reporting to Al Pichelli, Executive Vice President of Teledyne for the Instrumentation and Aerospace and Defense Electronics Segments, Mr. Read will drive a leading edge group of undersea technology companies providing advanced solutions in oceanographic research, marine transportation, biological, offshore energy, defense and security and water resources markets. With annual revenue of approximately $665 million, Teledyne Marine provides an extended range of marine sensors, vehicles and end-to-end solutions and supports its customers with a network of 41 global manufacturing and service centers and 2,400 employees.

Mr. Read, currently President of Teledyne Oil and Gas, joined Teledyne with the acquisition of Ocean Design, Inc. in 2006, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Previous roles included management positions with Tyco International and Raychem Corporation. Mr. Read holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Aston University, Birmingham U.K. and has participated in executive education programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD Business School.
