Tell us a little about your current role and what you enjoy most about it?
I’m responsible for providing overall commercial legal service, compliance management and legal support to Teledyne subsidiaries, all BUs and sites in the Asia Pacific region. Working in a multinational company has its benefits. We have an incredible organizational culture incorporating diversity and community. Regardless of the BU’s location, we will always interact with employees from different cultures and languages in one team, it’s akin to traveling around the world even working from home.
Have you drawn professional inspiration from other women? Tell us about someone who has inspired you.
I’ve been inspired by Tu Youyou, the Chinese pharmaceutical chemist who discovered dihydro-artemisinin, the drug widely used to treat malaria. This discovery was a breakthrough in tropical medicine that has saved millions of lives globally. She also is the first Chinese Nobel Laureate in physiology or medicine and the first female citizen of China to receive a Nobel prize in any category.
