Dr. Edwin Roks is Executive Vice President of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated and Segment President of Teledyne Digital Imaging.
The Digital Imaging Group, encompassing Teledyne DALSA and Teledyne E2V, and Teledyne FLIR, is the largest division of Teledyne Technologies reporting ~$3B in annual revenue. The group has a global presence operating from major sites in US, Canada, EMEA and APAC.
Teledyne Digital Imaging is a world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of advanced sensing components and image acquisition and processing systems. This includes a diverse portfolio of cameras and sensors for manufacturing and factory automation; medical and industrial x-ray; infrared for industry, defense, security and consumer applications; scientific imaging and space imaging; LiDAR and Geospatial systems; as well as MEMS inertial, bio sensors, and high reliability semiconductor components. Dr. Roks is responsible for the daily operations, near term growth and profitability, and long range strategic positioning.
Before this position Edwin served as President of Teledyne DALSA Inc. and before that Vice President and CTO of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated and COO of Teledyne DALSA Inc. He joined Teledyne with the acquisition of DALSA Inc. in 2011, serving as Executive Vice-President of the Teledyne DALSA Professional Imaging Division. He joined DALSA in 2005 from Philips, where he served as CTO of Philips Polymer Vision and R&D Director of Philips Imaging Business Line. Edwin has a long and distinguished history in Semiconductor and Imaging. He was closely involved in new business development and customer relationship management in the area of Mobile industry. After lecturing, as an officer, at the Royal Military Academy of the Netherlands, Edwin joined Philips Research Laboratories in 1989, where he worked on Semiconductor Lasers and Image Sensors. He was as committee member involved in leading international conferences, and has authored and co-authored more than 50 technical papers and holds 10 patents in the imaging field.
Edwin holds a B.Sc. from the College of Advanced Technology, a M.Sc. from the Technical University of Eindhoven, and a Ph.D. from the University of Twente, The Netherlands.
