Teledyne Brown Taps Former Naval Captain For Vice President
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (December 12, 2005) - Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that Al Maiorano, a former U. S. Naval Captain, has been named vice president of its Technologies Group.
In his new role, Maiorano will be responsible for growing existing defense business and pursuing new business markets. The Technologies Group provides technology-based support to the U.S. Department of Defense and other agencies and to system prime contractors.

"He brings to Teledyne Brown extensive leadership abilities and a strong record of success. The combination of naval and industry experience will be very valuable as Al takes our Technologies Group in new directions."
Prior to joining Teledyne Brown, Maiorano was Senior Program Manager and Deputy Division Manager for Combat Systems Engineering at CACI Technologies, Inc. He retired from the Navy in 2004 after serving 27 years. Maiorano's last position was as Commander of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division. His Naval career included assignments as Commanding Officer of the Aegis guided missile cruiser USS VINCENNES (CG 49), Navy Acquisition Program Manager, and as Director of Officer Training at the Aegis Training Center.
Maiorano has a Masters degree in Business Administration from Marymount University and MS degree in System Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Maiorano and his wife Mary have one son, Anthony.
