Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. Wins Contractor Excellence Award
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (March 11, 2004) - Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) announced today that it has been recognized by the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) for the 2003 Contractor Excellence Award in the Large Business/Service Category.
Teledyne Brown was selected for the award based on several factors including its 50 year heritage of providing engineering, manufacturing and technology support to government and industrial customers; current support for payload integration for the International Space Station; realizing a cost savings of $10 million during the last three years of support; commitment to safety and quality assurance and services and support to MSFC in the Propellants, Pressurants and Calibration services and Engineering, Analytical, and Integration Support Programs.

The award, which is presented annually, evaluates contractors in the areas of customer satisfaction and technical performance, cost performance, response to MSFC strategic goals, leadership and continuous improvement and innovative technology breakthroughs.
David King, Director of MSFC, will present the award in the near future.
