Tim Knox Named Corporate Manager of Internet Development

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY) announced today that Tim W. Knox of Teledyne Brown Engineering has been promoted to Corporate Manager of Internet Development. Knox joined Brown Engineering in May 1999 as the company webmaster and as a result, was responsible for the design and implementation of Teledyne Technologies new web site (www.teledyne.com).

Reporting to Robyn Choi, director of administration, Knox is responsible for TDY's web site and corporate intranet, and will play a critical role in developing web-based business processes (including e-commerce capabilities) for Teledyne Technologies.

Choi noted "Tim's experience in web development and content management enables us to improve our internal business processes, facilitate transactions with customers, and establish an internet presence. We hope to significantly expand our capabilities in this arena and Tim is an excellent choice to lead these efforts."

Prior to joining Brown, Knox was the website manager of Alabama Live (http://www.al.com), the state's largest commercial internet website service, and was the managing partner of Digital Graphiti, a website development firm based in Huntsville, Alabama. Knox has worked as an internet designer, developer, and instructor since 1996. He is the co-author of the book, "Web Programming in Internet Explorer 5.0," due from Random House in January, 2000.
