Teledyne Technologies Appoints Charles Crocker to Board of Directors
LOS ANGELES - October 24, 2001 - Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today that Charles Crocker, chairman and chief executive officer of BEI Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEIQ) has been elected to its board of directors. The addition of Crocker increases the number of Teledyne board members to ten.

Crocker, 62, founded BEI Technologies, Inc., a public, diversified technology company with headquarters in San Fransisco, Calif. He is also a principal in Crocker Capital, a private venture capital firm. Mr. Crocker is on the board of the following companies: BEI Technologies, Inc., BEI Medical Systems Company, Inc., Fiduciary Trust International and Pope & Talbot, Inc. Mr. Crocker has served as chairman of the board of Children's Hospital in San Francisco, chairman of the Hamlin School's Board of Trustees and president of the Foundation of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
